We are seeking an innovative and experienced Fiber Design Engineer to contribute to the development and scaling of our vast fiber-optic network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain records for our fiber optic infrastructure utilizing geographic information systems (GIS).
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including data center engineering, business developers, deployment engineers, and construction vendors.
- Create detailed engineering designs, documents, single-line drawings, cable routing, and splicing work packages in a GIS system.
- Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with GIS Systems.
- Proven ability to manage projects/programs effectively across all organizational levels.
- Experience in data, inventory, or records management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using GE Smallworld in GIS applications.
