About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a care support assistant. Our purpose-built nursing home provides a positive living experience for people in a place they can flourish and call home.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high standard of holistic care to residents, promoting their equality and dignity.
- Assist with daily living activities such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support.
- Respect residents' privacy and dignity, promote independence and assist those with limited mobility.
- Understand and observe care plans, alerting nurses immediately regarding any changes in physical or mental state.
- Report incidents that may compromise health and safety, maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with residents and their relatives/representatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum partial QQI Level 5 Award - Healthcare or equivalent.
- Elder care experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent personal care abilities.
