Job Title: Principal Reliability Engineer

The Role of a Reliability Engineer in Cardiac Ablation Solutions requires collaboration with various teams to ensure the development and validation of test methods. This position involves working closely with the Research & Development team, validating Test Method Validations (TMV), and establishing quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective test methods.
  • Validate TMVs to meet required TMV procedure and industry standards.
  • Work closely with the Quality Core Team Member to deliver day-to-day project deliverables.
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing functions to establish and maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct systematic reliability analysis using established reliability engineering techniques.
  • Understand risk management concepts used throughout the quality system to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop strategies for test method validations, design verification, and shelf-life protocols/reports.
Requirements:
  • Requires advanced knowledge in the field combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires a minimum Level 8 Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Or advanced Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management principles.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably in medical devices.
  • Experience with solving complex issues by interacting with cross-functional groups.
  • Proven ability to operate in a matrix organization and navigate complex business systems, regulations, and performance requirements.
  • Knowledge of reliability tools and practices that support requirements, design, integration, and verification.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with a focus on improved system performance outcomes and positive business impact.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential for this role.
