Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various technical procedures involving high-frequency ultrasound waves to diagnose patients.

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of vascular anatomy, physiology, Doppler physics/instrumentation, and ultrasound physics/instrumentation.

  • They will also possess excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to exercise precision, skill, and judgment in their work.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a qualified physician and other healthcare professionals to provide top-notch patient care.

The position offers a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Performing clinical assessments and diagnostic vascular sonography examinations

  • Preparing patients for exams and explaining procedures to be performed

  • Assuming responsibility for the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients while they are in your care

  • Using cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images

  • Communicating findings to physicians and other healthcare staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required.

  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Vascular Technology Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.

  • Active certification as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) within 12 months of hire is required.
