Job Title: Financial Planning/Cost Accountant

This is a key role in our client's finance team, responsible for all costings and product analysis onsite.

The successful applicant will partner with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior management to provide operations support on a day-to-day basis.
  • Drive decision making through robust financial analysis on capital investment, cost reduction, and innovation initiatives.
  • Develop and implement an efficient Line and Product Efficiency Model.
  • Provide weekly and monthly gross margin reports and suggestions for enhancements.
  • Reconcile GM between P&L and Commercial.
  • Maintain weekly price files, product costing reporting, and GM analysis by SKU.
  • Process costing, promotional costing, CAPEX project costing, labor analysis, KPI, efficiencies, overhead analysis, systems, and reports review.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a financial planning and accounting or manufacturing cost accountant position within a manufacturing environment or related field.
  • Experience of assessing and implementing new systems and software to drive improvements and changes.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical skills, including variance analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Manufacturing factory experience, fluent written and spoken English, excellent Excel skills, and good numerical skills.
  • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
