Job Title: Cloud Operations Leader

Overview

The role of the Cloud Operations Leader is pivotal in shaping and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. Reporting directly to the [Director/Manager], this individual will be responsible for overseeing the design, deployment, and support of our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms with a strong emphasis on AWS.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud operations strategy encompassing capacity planning, performance optimization, and cost management.
  • Drive the development and implementation of operational tools and processes to ensure seamless cloud infrastructure management.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to both senior and junior team members.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes and tools to meet audit and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience managing cloud or operational infrastructure environments with a strong focus on leadership.
  • Extensive expertise in cloud technologies, especially AWS, with a proven ability to design and implement scalable cloud solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Experience with modern development tools and practices including Git, Python scripting, PowerShell, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure including Windows, Linux, IP networking, and security practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decisions, manage change, and transfer knowledge effectively.
