Financial Analysis Role

About the Position

This candidate will provide financial insights to senior management on the historical and current financial performance and future outlook of portfolios within a large pharmaceutical division.

They will use their analytical skills and relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the portfolio, form an opinion on the short, medium, and long-term financial outlook, identify future financial risks/opportunities, and partner with operations teams to drive revenue growth and margin expansion actions.

  • Responsible for the financial management of individual studies, including internal and client reporting.
  • Conducts financial reviews with operational teams to discuss study financial health and agree appropriate actions.
  • Prepares internal study reports documenting key financial risks and mitigating actions (resource utilization, days on-site productivity, etc).
  • Prepares client reports containing financial analysis, forecasting, metrics, and dashboards to support clients in their financial planning and month-end process.
  • Prepares financial reporting packages for operations with insightful commentary and analysis.
  • Identifies out-of-scope activities, ensuring proper documentation and follow-through.
  • Supports the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and budget reconciliations.
  • Identifies key revenue and margin drivers within the portfolio.
  • Supports the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations.
