Senior Highway Operations Expert

We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to provide technical advice and support for highway infrastructure operations and maintenance.
The successful candidate will work within a small team, reporting to the Commission Manager, delivering programme and project management services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate specialists, manage contracts, review submissions, expedite project schedules, ensure compliance, and conduct regular inspections;
- Prepare and present reports to clients;
- Draft and review correspondences to contractors;
- Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders;
- Manage day-to-day operational duties;
- Continuously improve operations and deliver quality customer service;
- Propose alternatives for expediting/recovering of project schedules with contractors for presentation to, and agreement with, the client;
- Attend Risk Reduction meetings and record actions and mitigations agreed;
- Monitor contractual compliance by the contractor, and early identification of issues and problems.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical/electronic engineering; or in another relevant discipline;
- 5 years+ post-graduate experience in infrastructure projects;
- Ideally experienced in mechanical/electrical systems projects and infrastructure maintenance;
- Experience in Infrastructure O&M schemes and Intelligent Transport Systems;
- Familiarity with PPP and NEC3 contracts, commercial risk, and procurement strategies;
- Knowledge of highway engineering standards, including DMRB;
