Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing resident admissions, discharges and medication administration, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Manage resident admissions, discharges and medication administration in accordance with best practices.
- Develop individualized care plans using a person-centered approach.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of care notes and plans.
- Maintain high standards of resident care and hygiene.
- Supervise mealtimes, attend to feeding requirements and perform necessary personal care tasks.
- Assist with in-house training, emergency response and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Take responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of allocated residents.
- Plan and deliver evidence-based individualized care.
- Lead a team of healthcare assistants, allocating duties and ensuring performance.
- Evaluate resident care needs and implement and evaluate individualized care plans that meet resident needs.
- Adhere to procedures and guidelines in place.
- Maintain clear, concise and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation.
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Registered on the Irish live register (NMBI). Active PIN required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One year nursing experience preferred.
- Experience of HIQA standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- IT skills; computer literate in Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Proven attention to detail and follow-through.
- Full-time contract.
- Salary based on experience.
