Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing resident admissions, discharges and medication administration, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Manage resident admissions, discharges and medication administration in accordance with best practices.
  • Develop individualized care plans using a person-centered approach.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of care notes and plans.
  • Maintain high standards of resident care and hygiene.
  • Supervise mealtimes, attend to feeding requirements and perform necessary personal care tasks.
  • Assist with in-house training, emergency response and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Take responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of allocated residents.
  • Plan and deliver evidence-based individualized care.
  • Lead a team of healthcare assistants, allocating duties and ensuring performance.
  • Evaluate resident care needs and implement and evaluate individualized care plans that meet resident needs.
  • Adhere to procedures and guidelines in place.
  • Maintain clear, concise and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation.
  • Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
Requirements
  • Registered on the Irish live register (NMBI). Active PIN required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One year nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience of HIQA standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • IT skills; computer literate in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Proven attention to detail and follow-through.
