Leading Quality in Nursing Homes requires a dedicated professional to ensure all services meet regulatory requirements and reflect the organisation's commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.
This involves working closely with management teams to drive excellence through audits, policy development, staff training, and continuous quality improvement. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in HIQA compliance and regulatory best practices, as well as strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on HIQA compliance and regulatory best practices
- Lead internal audits, develop corrective action plans, and oversee follow-up activities
- Support the creation, review, and implementation of policies and procedures
- Mentor and develop staff, promoting a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement
- Oversee safeguarding practices, risk management, and incident reporting across the group
- Analyse and report on quality metrics, contributing to organisational planning and development
Candidate Profile:
- Registered General Nurse with active registration
- Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, quality, or clinical governance
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a quality, governance, or compliance role within healthcare
- In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards and best practice in person-centred care
- Proven expertise in audits, risk management, staff mentoring, and policy development
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Full driver's licence with willingness to travel across multiple sites
