Installation Operations Lead

We are seeking a dedicated professional to drive success in our rapidly growing installation division.

The role requires regular attendance at sites throughout the project lifecycle, overseeing daily high-quality standards of work, site operative performance, and maintaining output while meeting Health and Safety standards.

Projects range from domestic housing upgrades to large-scale commercial, residential, and educational projects.

The role contributes to commercial, financial management, and profitable performance of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Attend weekly meetings to report progress and staffing issues.
  2. Oversee site progress and monitor output on all ongoing works.
  3. Monitor and report on wastage, develop strategies to reduce waste, and record daily QA using software.
  4. Ensure correct products are used according to specifications.
  5. Review drawings against ongoing work to ensure scope compliance.
  6. Communicate changes or variations of works to all relevant team members.
  7. Document and agree variations on dayworks with main contractors.
  8. Meet monthly with surveying department to discuss operative outputs.
  9. Participate in health and safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  10. Assist in preconstruction planning alongside key team leads.
  11. Support surveyors, coordinators, and site operatives by ensuring materials and equipment are ready and providing weekly materials lookahead.
  12. Maintain tools in good condition and report losses or damages.
  13. Attend appointments as required.
  14. Prepare site-specific method statements and risk assessments for approval before work begins.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Eagerness to lead significant installation projects, working with existing installation team and reporting to Installation Manager.
  • Experience as a Project Manager in installation, construction, fit-out, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of installation workflows and site operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
