Senior Environmental Health and Safety Professional

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations, as well as strong project management skills to lead and support the implementation of various EHS initiatives.

This key role is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of EHS, including risk assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, and training delivery. Additionally, the successful candidate will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety within the organization, leading by example and ensuring that all stakeholders are committed to upholding the highest standards of EHS performance.

The selected professional will have a proven track record of success in managing high-risk work programs and contractor management, with a strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the business. Strong communication skills and a proven ability to build and maintain a safety-first culture are essential for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical, chemical, biochemical, petrochemical, or process-related industry. Experience in supporting multiple projects simultaneously and implementing organizational change is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of EHS, including risk assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, and training delivery.
  • Lead and support the implementation of various EHS initiatives, including high-risk work programs and contractor management.
  • Act as the EHS representative on risk assessments, change management processes, and training delivery.
  • Support site and project teams by participating in audits, inspections, incident investigations, and local safety initiatives.
  • Carry out EHS assessments and audits of processes and systems, ensuring alignment with global safety and environmental standards.
  • Report weekly to management on EHS KPIs, performance metrics, and progress against objectives.
  • Promote and embed a strong EHS culture across all departments, leading by example.
