Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to manufacture, modify and repair precision tools, jigs and fixtures. This role will support the repairs and spares side of the business, ensuring high-quality tooling solutions for our customers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Manufacturing, modifying and repairing precision tools, jigs and fixtures.
  • Supporting welding, surface grinding and other operations as required.
  • Assembling and fitting mechanical components with high precision.
  • Maintaining and repairing tooling to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Working closely with the team to support the repairs and spares division.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to customers when needed.
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project deadlines.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, following health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Toolmaking, Precision Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a toolmaking or precision engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in tool repair and maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for occasional customer interactions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
