About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing and optimizing cutting-edge automation systems that support efficient manufacturing and compliance with industry standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally to deliver impactful projects that enhance productivity and ensure continued excellence.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets and resource needs, and oversee installation, testing and commissioning of automation equipment and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation solutions to increase efficiency and support production goals.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment, software and networked systems.
  • Ensure automation systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and internal policies.

Operational Technology & Support

  • Maintain and support SCADA, Siemens PLCs and OSIsoft Pi systems.
  • Provide training and support for end-users on system operation and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain user manuals, maintenance protocols and project reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in automation or control systems, ideally in manufacturing or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with FDA cGxP, 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP software validation is desirable.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ANSI/ISA-S88, S95, PackML is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Siemens PLCs, SCADA and data historian systems preferred.
