Inventory Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Professional to oversee our company's inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock control systems and efficient supply chain management.


About the Role
  • The successful candidate will work closely with our Planning, Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistics, and Warehouse staff to maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce excess stock, prevent stockouts, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Warehouse Team through the Warehouse Team Leader, establishing standard work routines for warehouse processes, and developing and maintaining training programs for the Warehouse Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and control inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, transactions, and movements.
  • Develop and implement effective stock control systems, including barcode scanning, RFID, or automated inventory systems.
  • Work closely with the Planning team to ensure optimal inventory levels, taking into account sales forecasts, production schedules, and supplier lead times.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics team to ensure smooth delivery of goods to customers, minimizing delays and errors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to meet business needs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Inventory or Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
  • 2–5 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, including a proven track record of managing stock control systems, handling procurement or purchasing requirements, and using enterprise resource planning (ERP) or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics), advanced Excel skills for data analysis, understanding of barcoding, RFID, or automated inventory systems, familiarity with lean or just-in-time (JIT) practices, and knowledge of international logistics and import/export regulations.
