Eakin Healthcare seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Community Stoma Care Nurse to join their Ireland team. This is a part-time, 3-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.

Job Description

This role involves providing an exceptional level of care to patients following their discharge from hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a professional stoma care service to patients in the community based on a defined referral pathway.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient referrals from hospitals and community health care professionals with required feedback.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and deliver teaching/training for carers, family, and healthcare professionals.
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant products available within the Irish market and provide feedback to marketing and research and development.
  • Undertake continuous personal development to improve skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse Qualification.
  • Registered with INMO.
  • Previous experience working as a Community Stoma Care Nurse.
  • Stoma or colorectal background.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
  • IT skills including Excel.
  • Flexibility to meet patient and service needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, be dynamic and forward-thinking.
