This role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping Ireland's renewable energy sector.

Policies and Planning Frameworks

As our Policy Manager, you will lead the development of policies supporting wind energy growth and sustainability. You will collaborate with industry experts, government officials, and stakeholders to create a robust planning framework.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Drive policy development for wind energy and other enabling technologies in Ireland and Europe.
  2. Stay up-to-date on policy developments and identify key opportunities, risks, and issues for reporting to senior leadership.
  3. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in relevant government departments and State bodies.
  4. Work closely with the Policy and Research team and stakeholders through committee meetings, working groups, and policy forums.

Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in law, planning, environment, or energy-related fields.
  • At least 6 years' experience in policy or research roles.
  • Knowledge of Irish planning and environmental policy, particularly in relation to energy and electricity sectors.
  • Experience in advocacy, understanding of current affairs, and political systems.
