Senior Bioprocess Operations Specialist

As a Senior Bioprocess Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the expansion of our client's Centre of Excellence for veterinary vaccine development and production.

This 11-month contract role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and guide team members in manufacturing processes on a shift rotation, provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to the production team, and operate equipment according to electronic batch records, sampling plans, and standard operating procedures.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct team members in manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless execution of processes
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to production staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Operate complex equipment and systems, adhering to established protocols and procedures

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in biotechnology, chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or process engineering is essential
  • Extensive experience in the biotech industry, with expertise in bulk manufacturing of pharmaceutical or biological components
  • Strong knowledge of upstream and downstream unit operations for mAb manufacturing, including key unit operations
  • Proficiency in automation software, such as Emerson DeltaV, and familiarity with Pas X and other related technologies
  • Experience with single-use technologies in a manufacturing environment
