Job Overview

The role of a Social Care Manager involves leading a team to deliver a high-quality service that promotes young people's safety, well-being and development.

This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of a children's residential care setting, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and statutory regulations.

About You

  • You must hold a minimum QQI level 7 qualification in social care and relevant work experience in children's residential care settings.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills are essential.
  • A full clean driver's license held for more than one year is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Children & Young People

  • You will lead and manage the Social Care team to promote young people's wellbeing and development.
  • You will contribute to the development of the service and implement plans to achieve this goal.
  • You will ensure effective day-to-day running of the children's residential care setting within policies, procedures and statutory regulations.

Staff, Procedures & Finance

  • You will be responsible for line management and supervision of the Social Care team.
  • You will oversee the effective and efficient financial management of the children's home.
