Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Process Engineering Expert to lead our life science projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards. This role will be based in Dublin or Cork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop process design and engineering strategies for large-scale life science projects, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide multidisciplinary process design teams to deliver high-quality results, focusing on technical excellence and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to define project scope, understand requirements, and develop tailored process solutions.
  • Oversee the development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment specifications, and process control strategies, integrating them seamlessly with facility design, utilities, and automation.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, contributing to successful project delivery, ensuring timely completion and optimal resource allocation.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments, providing expert insights and recommendations to drive project success.
  • Provide technical leadership during construction, commissioning, and qualification phases, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Significant experience in chemical or process engineering, with a strong focus on facility and plant design within the life sciences sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading process design teams and delivering complex engineering projects, showcasing technical expertise and leadership abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations, cleanroom design, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, with a solid understanding of their implications and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of process equipment, utilities, and automation systems, including their applications, benefits, and limitations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Able to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline, with relevant certifications and training.
