Job Overview

We are expanding our Mechanical Engineering team to meet growing demands for new projects. This is an opportunity for Senior Mechanical Engineers to work on a variety of Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Food and Beverage projects from conceptual stage through to detailed design, commissioning and qualification.

You will be based at our Cork office and have a hybrid work pattern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and procure equipment modules and packages.
  • Generate Data Sheets, Material Requisitions & Enquiry Packages for procurement of equipment.
  • Evaluate technical bids from vendors in compliance with client specifications.
  • Develop Technical Specifications in compliance with client requirements.
  • Lead the development of each package through Kick-off meetings, Design Reviews, FATs etc.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure packages are designed, manufactured and tested as per project requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, client project management and other disciplines to provide exceptional service.
  • Maintain relationships with client design teams and end-users.
  • Optimize mechanical systems and provide site support.
Requirements
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (Engineers with a primary degree in Chemical/Process Engineering and relevant process experience may also be considered).
  • Significant design experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors.
  • The ability to coordinate the efforts of others and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills (ability to lead Technical reviews with Clients and Suppliers).
  • An openness to travel to equipment manufacturing sites.
