Director of Global Operations Communications

The ideal candidate will lead the development and execution of communications that promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and customer service across global operations.

This individual will drive strategic operations communications, develop executive & leader communications, enhance employee engagement & communication effectiveness, lead change & organizational communications, prepare for and manage issues, and support external communications.

About Your Skills & Experience:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Extensive experience within a pharmaceutical organisation is required.
  • Proven ability to lead communications around sensitive and high-impact operational matters.
  • Strong collaborator and relationship builder, able to influence and connect effectively across all levels and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive Strategic Operations Communications: Develop and execute communication strategies that promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and customer service.
  2. Develop Executive & Leader Communications: Develop and execute communications plans for senior leaders to drive engagement, visibility, and connection with colleagues.
  3. Enhance Employee Engagement & Communication Effectiveness: Lead the development of an operations communications council bringing together key communicators to drive employee engagement and promote knowledge and best practice sharing.
  4. Lead Change & Organizational Communications: Provide strategic counsel and develop communications to support organizational announcements, restructuring activities, divestitures, and integrations.
  5. Prepare for and Manage Issues: Proactively prepare for known issues to mitigate impact and continue to refine issues management response strategy.
  6. Support External Communications: Assist with background information for media inquiries and stay informed of manufacturing and supply chain industry news.
  7. Measure Impact & Drive Continuous Improvement: Use metrics and analytics to assess communications effectiveness and apply insights to improve efforts.
