Speech Therapist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Speech Therapist to join our team at a leading care provider.

The successful candidate will have a passion for empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to live full and satisfying lives as equal citizens of their local communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for children presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Provide individualised therapy plans, interventions, and recommendations in line with best practice and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with service owners, families, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate records, including assessment reports, intervention plans, and progress updates in accordance with HSE policies and HIQA standards.
Essential Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification in Speech Therapy or equivalent.
  • Registration with CORU.
  • 1 year post qualification experience working with children/young adults with ID.
  • Holds a full clean driving license and access to a car.
