Operational Management Specialist


Job Description:

As a key member of the operational team, the Operational Management Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of daily reconciliations for all syndicated and private debt loans. This includes providing support to various departments while adhering to established policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise operational aspects of the team
  • Utilize reconciliation systems to reconcile activity daily
  • Reconcile bank debt transactions against broker cash statements to clear reconciliation breaks on fund accounting systems
  • Investigate cash reconciliation breaks with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Review and process bank debt related activities using financial software and fund accounting systems
  • Complete and review security price tolerance checking for all alternative funds within fund accounting systems
  • Maintain security master information on fund accounting systems
  • Communicate and coordinate information between investment managers, agent banks and accounting teams
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation reporting as required
  • Gain understanding of current solutions and make recommendations for future solutions to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements:
  • Third level qualifications in business or finance
  • 3-4 years experience in fund operations with experience in alternatives/hedge funds
  • Working knowledge of syndicated or private debt loan markets
  • Working knowledge of fund accounting systems
  • Knowledge and understanding in reconciling transactions when comparing bank debt activity and broker statements
  • Knowledge of various security types
