Job Description

  • Develop a cutting-edge, privacy-first data platform that scales to meet the needs of enterprises.
  • Design and build reactive micro-services, leveraging technologies like RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.
  • Write maintainable code, prioritizing readability, testing, and CI/CD automation while maintaining current systems for performance gains.
  • Collaborate with product and data teams to clarify requirements and lead technical discussions to align priorities.
  • Optimize relentlessly, tuning code performance, designing database storage models (SQL/NoSQL), streamlining distributed workflows, and implementing observability for high-throughput systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years building enterprise-grade backend systems (micro-services, REST APIs, distributed data platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering principles.
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Mastery of Spring Boot 3+, Java 21+, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub).
  • Proven experience designing fault-tolerant systems, optimizing queries at scale, and containerising apps (Docker/K8s).
  • Experience with large-scale data storage solutions, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, and Amazon S3.
  • Experience with technologies such as OpenAPI and Apache Avro.
