Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to support our growing industry-leading team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a related field, with strong knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards.

  • Led and managed geo-environmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Conducted site assessments and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Designed and procured geo-environmental site investigations, providing valuable insights for decision-making purposes.
  • Managed and supervised ground investigations, overseeing the collection and analysis of data to inform project outcomes.
  • Prepared risk assessments (GQRA and DQRA) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize risks.
  • Advised on soil reuse, preparing Regulation 27 and Regulation 28 applications to facilitate sustainable waste management practices.
  • Developed and implemented remediation strategies to address contaminated sites and restore ecosystems.
  • Provided technical expertise and guidance to junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Liaised with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards, including familiarity with relevant legislation and guidelines.
