Medical Device Engineer - Catheter Development Job Opportunity
\We are seeking a seasoned Medical Device Engineer to join our team in Ireland and lead the development of catheters. As a Senior or Principal Level R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and assembling catheters, as well as managing relationships with suppliers of catheter components. Your experience in medical device development, particularly in interventional cardiology, is crucial for this role.
\Key Responsibilities:\- \
- Develop design options for company's catheter\
- Develop assembly and manufacturing processes for the company's catheter\
- Anticipate risks and challenges; proactively ensure availability of adequate mitigation plans.\
- Development of DFMEA and PFMEA or similar risk management tools\
- Work with management and marketing function to ensure adequate input from physician advisors\
- Ensure adequate IP generation to protect novel developments and findings\
- Manage relationships with third party development and manufacturing vendors\
- Polymer and reinforced composite Polymer Shaft design\
- Design for Manufacture methodologies\
- Competency in Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD system\
- Use of insert or overmoulding techniques in catheter construction.\
- Use of statistical analysis techniques & DOE\
