Job Title: R&D Catheter Development Lead

About the Role:

The R&D Catheter Development Lead will be part of a dynamic team in Galway, dedicated to developing innovative catheter solutions for neurovascular diseases.

  • Provide technical leadership and ownership of critical tasks in new product development catheter projects.
  • Liaise with key opinion leaders to understand disease states and gather user needs.
  • Translate user requirements into technical specifications.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and generate innovative product solutions.
  • Lead the development of test models, prototypes, and product assembly drawings/specifications.
  • Identify and manage key technical risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Program Management Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project goals, plans, and budgets.
  • Identify critical project tasks and set team priorities.
  • Manage direct teams and functions to deliver on performance, time, and cost targets.
  • Report progress across the organization.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in medical device industry with technical project leadership experience.
  • Strong technical leadership capability and prior catheter product development experience as a Senior R&D Engineer.
