Job Overview

The role of Operations Manager involves overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume trading environment to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.

\

This position requires efficient management of back-office functions, reconciliation, and corporate actions to enhance client experience and safeguard client and firm interests.

\

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in back-office operations, reconciliation, and corporate actions working in a high-volume environment for a financial institution.

\

The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the full trade lifecycle, including settlements, custody, corporate action processing, and taxes.

\

Main Responsibilities:

\
  • Maintain the daily operations framework to ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee static data management, transaction reporting, and corporate actions outsourced to other entities.
  • Reconcile settlements with clients and executing brokers and manage breaks in a high-volume environment.
  • Support key stakeholder management both internally and externally.
  • Manage the operations team, including performance reporting and service level agreements.
  • Support new product initiatives, process automation, and maintain framework, policy, and process documentation.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in back-office operations, reconciliation, and corporate actions working in a high-volume environment for a financial institution.
  • Thorough knowledge of the full trade lifecycle, including settlements, custody, corporate action processing, and taxes.
  • Expertise in data management systems, preferably SQL or Python, to enhance straight-through processing and manage exceptions.
  • Experience in implementing risk controls and procedure documentation.
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, proactive attitude, and team player.
  • Strong time management and error identification skills.
