The Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of material transportation to and from a large-scale construction site.
Job Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations within the site compound and storage areas, ensuring all deliveries adhere to established protocols.
- Collaborate with subcontractors for timely and safe delivery of materials to and from the site.
- Maintain vigilance over traffic movements on site, preventing congestion and safety risks.
- Enforce site access regulations and ensure loading/unloading activities occur within designated areas.
In addition, the Logistics Supervisor will support the Logistics Manager in scheduling deliveries and maintaining delivery logs and material records. They will participate in logistics meetings, communicate essential information to operatives and subcontractors, and supervise a team of logistics operatives.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:- Previous experience in logistics roles on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deliveries and subcontractors daily.
- Comprehensive understanding of large-scale construction sites and solid knowledge of site Health & Safety regulations.
- Capacity to operate effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
