Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team at the Veterinary Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide operational and patient care support for patients, working closely with veterinarians and technicians to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role:

This is a regular full-time position, working 40 hours per week primarily on second shift, including alternating weekends and required holidays based on team rotation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to maintain a clean and efficient working area, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

The Successful Candidate Will:

- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient assessment and treatment

- Provide client education on home care instructions, medication overview, and general wellness updates

- Process lab samples, radiographic procedures, and fill prescriptions

- Maintain accurate records of patient information and medical history

- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient care results

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

- Completion of a background check required

- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures and protocols
