We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication and general maintenance in the factory, providing support for plant facilities and services.

  • Inspect equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Plan repair work using equipment manuals as needed.
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of facilities.
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Calibrate and test plant equipment, alarms, and instrumentation according to CMMS, vendor recommendations, and/or contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and safe manner.
  • Respond promptly to plant/equipment failures, performing plant repair or replacement as appropriate, and recording completion of same with CMMS.
  • Identify and manage spare parts required to ensure reliability of plant operation.
  • Oversee permit-to-work system, general work permit, LOTO, hot works permit etc.
  • Use remote monitoring tools like BMS to verify plant condition.
  • Be available for response to plant failures outside normal operation hours according to roster, and generally available to assist in remote troubleshooting where appropriate.
  • Make suggestions to improve plant reliability and operational efficiency in conjunction with Maintenance Lead.
  • Carry out general maintenance duties for plant, services and WWTP.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with relevant safety procedures, documentation and training.

The ideal candidate will possess a multi-skilled/cross-skilled ethos, previous experience in a facility maintenance environment, knowledge in maintenance, and experience supporting a high volume manufacturing environment. They must also demonstrate excellent problem-solving/analytical ability, compliance-focused attitude, and good computer skills.
