Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist

We're seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team in Ireland. This role will support the delivery of environmental compliance and permitting services across various sectors, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, water, alternative fuels, high-tech, commercial, and energy.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in environmental compliance and permitting, particularly in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sector. They will be responsible for advising clients on legislative implications, best available techniques, and management systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on environmental regulatory matters
  • Supporting clients in developing and implementing mitigation measures and management plans
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of environmental permit/licence applications
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with permit/licence conditions and knowledge of ISO 14001 standards

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and strong interpersonal skills. They will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.

Requirements
  • First degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or science discipline
  • Significant experience in environmental compliance and permitting, particularly in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sector
  • Extensive working knowledge of relevant European environmental legislation
  • Excellent report writing and technical review capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
