Credit Collection Specialist

Job Summary: This role is accountable for overseeing the credit collection function, developing and implementing credit policies and procedures. Our organization serves a large membership base with significant assets under management.

About the Position

This position will be responsible for managing the entire credit collection function within our organization. We operate from multiple locations and offer a permanent contract with a competitive salary.

  • Performing daily credit collection administrative tasks.
  • Implementing a communication process inclusive of telephone calls, emails, and direct meetings with members in arrears.
  • Providing excellent service and support to members.
  • Maintaining low levels of accounts in arrears.
  • Monitoring both live and charged-off loans.
  • Keeping accurate member records up-to-date within our IT system.
  • Compiling monthly and quarterly reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Liaising with external solicitors as required.
  • Representing the organization in court proceedings.
  • Processing Visa Debit payments on member accounts.
  • Supporting new credit arrangements.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Possesses relevant professional qualifications such as a QFA.
  • Has strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and other software applications.
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Has experience in a similar role within a financial services organization, specifically in credit collection.
