Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct shipping team activities
- Stage finished orders for shipping and load trucks
- Lead shipping teams to accomplish safely on-time, complete, correct assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Follow safety practices and report concerns to Safety Team members or Management
- Maintain the quality of finished goods in the shipping process
- Apply loading techniques for shipping in various containers
- Ensure adherence to GDP guidelines for shipment of finished goods
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials; cycle count inventory annually
- Prepare commercial invoices and S.E.D's as required for international shipments
- Train and guide team members
- Ship customer orders domestically and internationally using carriers and freight forwarders
- Follow up with shipping companies for pick ups and deliveries to distribution centres
- Maintain a positive work environment (departmental and inter-functional)
Requirements:
- A history of success in accountable positions is preferred
- At least 2 years of shipping experience
- Experience with inventory, cycle counts, or audit is a plus
- Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner
- Operating experience with forklifts
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
