**Job Title:** Independent Non-Executive Director

The Football Association of Ireland is the governing body for football in the Republic of Ireland. Our mission is to foster the growth and participation of the game at all levels.

We are seeking an Independent Non-Executive Director to join our Board. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development, administration, and promotion of football in Ireland.

About the Role:

This is a strategic position that requires a high level of expertise in governance, finance, and risk management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to achieve our goals and objectives.

The responsibilities of the Board include setting the strategic direction of the Association, overseeing the development and promotion of football matters, and ensuring effective risk management and internal control processes are in place.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fitness to sit on a board of directors
  • Expertise in financial management, including accountancy, audit, and corporate finance
  • Experience of working with Audit Committees or similar bodies
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to organizational transformation
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and influence executive teams and stakeholders
