Merchandising Career Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our team. As a key player in the delivery of product strategy, you will work closely with buying teams to build and execute department strategies.

Your primary focus will be on managing stock levels, ensuring the right products are available at the right time to maximize sales and profitability performance. You will need to analyze data, interpret trends, and make informed decisions to drive business results.

In this role, you will also be responsible for developing strong relationships with stakeholders across various business areas, including Retail, IT, Logistics, People, Marketing, and eCommerce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trading and Risk Management: Identify and manage trading risks, respond to performance changes, and take calculated risks when planning and trading.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze, interpret, and make decisions based on data to deliver the best possible outcomes.
  • Range Building: Influence the range building process through regular range review meetings with the buying team.
  • Financial Planning: Work with the buying team to develop a financial framework that considers trends, historical trends, and financial targets.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience as a Merchandiser, including proven experience in a team leadership or people management role.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualification in retail, commerce-related subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Skillset: Skilled influencer, effective at managing a network of stakeholders to reach effective commercial decisions. Strong relationship builder with a proven record of managing stakeholders cross-functionally.
