Job Title: Senior Leakage Engineer

We seek an experienced Civil/Environmental leader to oversee the performance of the leakage detection team in the Cork region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the leakage detection team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Leakage Detection Operations: Oversee DMA integrity and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal teams and external parties for effective planning and reporting.
  • Operational Planning and Decision-Making: Prioritize and direct proactive and reactive leakage control activities.
  • Health and Safety Management: Enforce safety procedures and ensure legal and procedural adherence.
  • Data and Technology Oversight: Champion the use of enterprise systems and ensure accurate updates and analysis.
  • Emergency Cover: Provide support during emergencies as needed.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior water network management role.
    • Relevant third-level qualification or accreditation is desirable.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effective communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
    • Experience in line and performance management duties.
    • Ability to make decisions based on analysis in a fast-paced environment.
    • Financial analysis skills are essential.
