Behavior Therapist Job Description

Sunny Days Sunshine Center is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a Behavior Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and their families.

Our ideal candidate will be an energetic and animated individual with a passion for helping children achieve their true potential. You will be responsible for implementing individualized applied behavior programming under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), including direct 1:1 therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach ABA, social, and daily living skills to children of all ages.
  • Effectively respond to and minimize difficult or disruptive behaviors.
  • Create a fun and motivating experience to generate high levels of performance for every individual.
  • Collect data on ABA programming targets and utilize an online system to track and view progress.
  • Provide support to parents, teachers, and caregivers to make the most of their efforts in making programs universal across all areas of the child's environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis field preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with children, especially those with autism and using ABA methodologies is preferred.
  • Candidates must be energetic, animated, and outgoing with a passion for helping children achieve their true potential.
