Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned IT Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our IT environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to the overall strategy and design of infrastructure and ICT projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of IT systems and services. They will also oversee the management of IT department team members, including performance and training assessments.

In addition, they will ensure that the management of IT infrastructure is fully aligned with IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning policies. The role involves managing suppliers and external partners in the delivery of ICT services, as well as proactively monitoring hardware and software systems to meet key performance measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud systems, backup and disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
  • Manage IT department team members, including performance and training assessments.
  • Ensure the management of IT infrastructure is fully aligned with IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning policies.
  • Managing suppliers and external partners in the delivery of ICT services.
  • Oversee proactively monitoring of hardware and software systems to meet key performance measures and continually enhance service delivery.
Requirements
  • Strong experience managing cloud-based systems (e.g. Azure, O365).
  • Strong experience managing IT systems and 3rd party tools.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance processes.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL.
  • Experience with IT systems installation, configuration and analysis.
  • Experience with network security protocols, firewalls, and data protection.
Education and Experience
  • Qualifications in Computer Science, IT or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in an IT Management role.
  • Experience working in Insurance/Financial Services desirable.
