Microbiologist - Dairy Industry

Key Role: Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team in a key role within the laboratory. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry or an equivalent quality-related course. You will also possess knowledge of the Agri/Dairy sector, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct raw milk analysis, including antibiotic/inhibitor analysis, microbiological methods, and rapid microbiology tests.
• Complete all documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Implement and participate in internal and external proficiency tests.
• Maintain laboratory hygiene standards and ensure timely escalation of non-conformances.

Requirements:

• Qualification in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry or equivalent quality-related course.
• Knowledge of and track record in the Agri/Dairy sector is preferable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interpret test data and problem-solving skills.
