Job Title: Financial Trainee

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a financial trainee. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with qualified accountants and managers to provide high-quality accounting services to clients across various sectors.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for preparing financial statements and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
  • You will assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • You will perform bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and posting journals.
  • You will communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and queries are resolved.
  • You will support the audit team with audit planning, testing, and documentation as required.

Your Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths and English.
  • A keen interest in accounting and finance.
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new things.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Experience of using accounting software is desirable but not essential.
