Fire Extinguisher Technician Job Description

Maintain and service fire safety equipment to ensure the highest standards of fire protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain fire extinguishers in line with relevant codes and regulations
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and provide certification for client premises
  • Manage call-out requests and supply/install new portable firefighting equipment/signage
  • Attend staff meetings and undertake training/courses to enhance your skill set
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of fire classifications and extinguishers/travel distances
  • Able to weigh different types of extinguishers and replace serviceable parts
  • Skill in safely changing O-rings/cartridges and labeling extinguishers/completing service labels
  • Ability to correctly install signs on walls/stands/cabinets and complete discharge tests/refills
