Packaging Automation Lead

Role Overview:
The Project Automation Specialist will lead the introduction and implementation of innovative packaging solutions for the medical device industry.
This position covers the full lifecycle of automation projects, from requirements gathering through to successful deployment and handover to production.
The Project Automation Specialist will ensure the seamless integration of packaging systems that meet regulatory, quality, and operational standards specific to the medical device industry.
Key responsibilities include managing the development and deployment of large-scale, custom packaging automation projects with equipment integrators.
Excellent communication skills are required to manage vendor relationships, provide updates to internal teams, and communicate project status effectively with customers.
Applicants with a strong manufacturing background and NPI leadership experience in the automation of packaging equipment are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design, procurement, installation, and validation of automated packaging production lines for medical devices
- Oversee process characterization and optimization for packaging systems
- Lead systematic technical root cause investigations related to packaging automation issues
- Support production line ramp-up to achieve production goals
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing metrics
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize packaging line performance
- Ensure adherence to quality system requirements and regulatory compliance
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to maintenance and other technical team members
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with vendors and customers as needed
