This is a high-level role that oversees the implementation of packaging automation equipment for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing full automation project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to final handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and installation of automated production lines for medical devices.
- Oversee process optimization for packaging systems.
- Conduct root cause investigations related to packaging automation issues.
- Support production line ramp-up to achieve production goals.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing metrics.
- Apply lean principles to optimize packaging line performance.
- Evaluate customer packaging requirements and negotiate pricing with vendors.
- Collaborate with sales team to provide engineering support.
- Establish milestones and track adherence to project timelines.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar discipline.
- 4+ years experience in manufacturing with high-volume automated assembly and packaging.
- Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical packaging preferred.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to execute automation projects.
