Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team at UPMC. As a key member of our quality function, you will be responsible for supporting the hospital's mission by implementing quality improvement initiatives that drive excellence in patient care. You will work closely with clinical and support teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development of quality improvement initiatives that align with hospital goals and objectives
• Collaborate with clinical and support teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them
• Analyze data and metrics to inform quality improvement decisions
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives, including audits and process improvements

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, quality improvement, or related field)
• 5 years of experience in a quality improvement or related role
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with quality improvement methodologies, including lean and Six Sigma
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel and Tableau
