Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Site Chargehand to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in the delivery of cutting-edge projects.

You will work closely with the site foreman and project manager as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to achieve exceptional results.

Job Description
  • The chargehand leads a crew of direct and subcontract labor, while remaining on their tools.
  • Support the foreman/site supervisor with daily site management tasks.
  • Ensure scope of work is delivered.
  • Ensure all additional requests outside the scope are captured and communicated to the project quantity surveyor (QS) team.
  • Ensure no breaches of health and safety protocols.
  • Be a role model for best-in-class quality standards throughout the project by ensuring they themselves are synonymous with these standards.
  • Develop a culture where safety and quality are central to the mindset of each crew member.
  • Ensure works are carried out to a high standard while complying with building regulations, national rules for electrical installations, health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide LOTO when and where required.
  • Ensure all permits/SPAs required for the planned works are in place.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum level 6 of the QQI certificate in electrical craft practice or equivalent.
  • Completed the electrical verification and certification course, with a qualified certifier number advantageous.
  • LOTO experience.
