Production Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our organization. This is a full-time, onsite role based at our facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Coordinate Production: Plan, schedule, and coordinate the production of manufactured products to meet customer demands.
  • Liaise with production supervisors: Ensure schedules are suitable for production needs.
  • Evaluate raw materials stock: Assess raw materials stock for production readiness.
  • Communicate lead times and collection dates: Communicate lead times and scheduled collection dates with the sales/customer service team.
  • Report on production status and progress: Report on production status and progress to stakeholders.
  • Manage production disruptions and productivity issues: Manage production disruptions and productivity issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze market forecasts: Analyze market forecasts to anticipate necessary production changes.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies: Coordinate cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Production Planning, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • At least 2 years' experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and strong teamwork skills.
