We are seeking an exceptional researcher to join our team as a Postdoctoral Researcher for the SPARK Project.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term appointment lasting up to 5 years, with funding available for 2 years. The role will be based at one of our campuses, and regular attendance at other sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in electrical power or energy-related areas, applying advanced modelling and optimisation techniques in power systems operation and control.
  • Develop strong publication records and contribute to research excellence through collaboration with colleagues on projects and events.
Requirements
  • A PhD in Electrical Power or Energy related Area.
  • Demonstrated specialist knowledge in power systems operation and control.
  • Strong programming skills and knowledge of various Power Systems software.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Bachelors and Masters degrees with first-class honors (1.1 equivalent).
  • Knowledge of AI techniques, data handling, and visualisation.
  • Experience in organising workshops, seminars, and event management.
