Senior Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Environmental Specialist to join our senior team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead high-profile environmental assessments, manage key client relationships, and mentor junior staff. They will be instrumental in guiding project direction, ensuring technical excellence, and driving sustainable practices in line with evolving legislation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage large-scale Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), and other complex environmental projects.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Prepare and review environmental reports, including scoping and baseline assessments, impact evaluations, and mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Irish and EU environmental legislation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in environmental science or a related discipline. A degree (Master's preferred) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required. Chartered status (e.g. CEnv, MCIWEM, MIEMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
